BLACK & WHITE BASH
When your bride says all she wants is a black-and-white checkered dance floor, you design the entire wedding around it!
A custom four-foot black-and-white drum shade served as the canopy of the Chuppah. Floral elements floated downward to create the four pillars in a nontraditional, unexpected way. The oversized shade’s scale gave the space a clear sense of structure. We then used the drum shade as the focal element for the reception's round bar.
The rest of the design had a clear direction. There was no need to introduce competing focal points, just a continuation of what was already working. You see that same form carried through the reception, which allowed the space to feel connected. Guests ended the night with a silent disco (another must from the bride).
